Construction Cost Estimate

Trey Strong was kind enough to ask his team to estimate the construction costs for the new chapter house. He produced an all-inclusive itemized list with expected expenses of $6M. In an effort to be conservative, Mr. Strong purposely overestimated our costs to build, considering future construction material values.

Born and raised in Lubbock, Trey graduated from Monterey High School and earned his Bachelor's in Business Management from Texas Tech University. At Tech, he held leadership positions in campus organizations and dedicated his time to community service.

After graduating, Trey moved to Dallas to work for Highland Homes, where he served as Project Manager for four years and oversaw the construction and completion of over 100 custom homes. He has now built in the Lubbock area for more than ten years. His hard work, dedication, and customer service are evident in his custom homes and his interactions with others — he is on site personally making sure each job is completed to his high standards.

In 2012, Trey was elected President of the West Texas Home Builders Association and continues to be an active member of the Lubbock community. In 2014, Trey Strong Custom Homes was voted "Best of the West" by KCBD News Channel 11.

Trey and his wife Mary Kathryn have two children, Evelyn and Jack, and serve a long list of local organizations including Lubbock Homes for Heroes, March of Dimes, the UMC Hospital Foundation, LHUCA, Covenant Children's Hospital, Make a Wish, United Way, Young Life, First United Methodist Church, Sigma Chi Fraternity, and Pi Beta Phi Sorority.
